Unlike legacy cloud converter APIs, cnvrt.to operates zero remote file processing servers. Every binary translation and document manipulation occurs entirely inside your browser's sandboxed WebAssembly (WASM) / Web Worker runtime.

1. Zero File Uploads & In-Memory Execution

Your file binary payloads are read into local JavaScript ArrayBuffers directly from your filesystem via the HTML5 File API. No raw payloads, metadata, or rendered buffers are ever transmitted across external networks.

2. GDPR Article 25 & HIPAA Security Rule

Because cnvrt.to never receives, processes, or stores Personal Identifiable Information (PII) or protected health records (ePHI), the platform natively meets the strictest regulatory definitions for Data Protection by Design and by Default (GDPR Article 25).

3. Zero File Telemetry

We use zero invasive trackers. Aggregate page load performance metrics may be monitored for operational uptime, but zero file names, byte sizes, file contents, or user identity parameters are ever tracked.

4. Air-Gapped Offline Operation

Once the client static assets and WASM modules are cached locally by your browser, you can disconnect your internet connection completely. All PDF manipulations, image transcodings, and media conversions will execute at full performance in air-gapped mode.
